Achieving bright and radiant skin is easier said than done, but there are some simple changes you can make in your life to get rid off that dull, tired look for good
Glowing skin is something we all strive to achieve in our skincare routine, but let’s be real – it is easier said than done.
Everyone’s skin can look and feel a little lacklustre at times, and while dull skin is relatively normal it can damage our confidence and be indicative of other health issues we may be suffering from.
However, there are some lifestyle tweaks you can make to get your glow back and get rid of dull skin.
These four tips will not only improve your skin’s overall appearance, but will benefit your general health and well-being too.
Diet
We hear it time and time again but you cannot underestimate the benefits of a healthy, balanced diet. Two ingredients that will help breathe life back into your skin are Vitamin E and Zinc. “Vitamin E is found in natural plant-based oils such as sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, vegetable oil, almonds, peanuts and red bell peppers,” pharmacist Laura Dowling told RSVP Live. Foods containing zinc include dairy products, seeds, nuts and legumes and these will “improve not only your skin but overall health and wellbeing too.”
Hydrate your skin
Staying hydrated is key in getting rid of dull skin and getting that glow back. It is recommended we drink two litres of water a day, but don’t forget to give your skin the hydration it needs through your skincare regime too. Always use a replenishing moisturiser on the body and pay more attention to areas of the skin which are particularly drier than others.
